As the nation celebrates another independence day a group of determined individuals prepare ground for another battle.A weapon bequeathed by a man who taught the world that non violence is the biggest weapon against the oppressors. Little did he know that the independence he won us was a stage drama that we are still the oppressed only the oppressors have changed. We are being blatantly raped as a population by a group of people who are our own making..we call them leaders...Yes friends Anna Hazare has decided to fast unto death for a Lok pal bill.Having followed Anna Hazare ever since his collision with Maharashtra politicos I never really was an admirer of this Gandhian.u must not misjudge my intent but as a core nationalist I had little faith in satyagrahas. But this man , well past his 70s has been able to stir the minds of a young population which is the future of this nation.
Friends, one must know that never before has such blatant corruption taken place in the history of our nation.A group of uncouth politicians plundered our wealth and reduced us to mere spectators as they shamelessly went scrounging for more public money to loot.The Indian public has shown great restraint till now.The 2g spectrum scam is without parallel and the CWG scam proved Danny Boyle right.It showed to the world that development is a mere curtain behind which we have a group of power brokers commit the unpardonable crime of dacoity.I do not want to name political parties as the past 64 years have seen symbols and flags trade places in parliament but corruption has been the same.To expect something out of the parliament is now foolish
It is in this background that Anna has started his satyagraha and with him are a few individuals who have risen above class and creed, image and money for a noble cause.While I do not harbor any prejudice towards the Honorable Parliament of India, i believe that it has failed in protecting the rights of citizens thus nesicitating this satyagraha.I strongly believe that as citizens of a nation trying hard to make each step count we must wholeheartedly support Anna Hazare. A spineless Prime Minister who looks more like a donkey leading a herd of hyenas has not helped our cause.to top all this up the government is shamelessly trying to stop this agitation by using the Delhi Police.One cannot but wonder why we are free after all.After all the loot and plunder that they do what we have left is some self respect and these hyenas want to take that away too!! friends it is high time that we retort because if we do not then there would'nt be any thing left to fight for...Let this be one of those moments where we rise above our differences of a just cause.We are not going to rest until this menace of corruption is totally removed.I know that it is
nt easy but for each herculean task to start a small step has to be taken!
Tomorrow as Anna starts his fast for a strong lokpal let us pray for his victory and fervently hope that our tomorrow isnt as foggy as our present is!!
